Growing Together: Site Managers in Dialogue About Leadership & Communication
In February, a total of 50 site managers from our Hubs West, East and North took part in the two-day “Leadership & Communication” trainings. Led by external trainer Alexander Petrowsky, the sessions centered on one key topic: the complex role of the site managers, with all its requirements, interfaces, and day-to-day challenges.
Together, the participants explored the expectations placed on them and how they can consciously navigate their leadership role within the dynamic environment of clients, construction sites, authorities and internal teams. They also identified the key competencies that are essential for effective leadership.
Core elements of the training included feedback culture, conflict resolution, and time and priority management – all crucial factors in the demanding daily life on construction sites. Through practical exercises and shared reflection, participants gained valuable impulses to reassess their own behaviors and integrate new perspectives into their work.
Particularly enriching was the cross-company exchange among colleagues. Both during the training sessions and at the evening networking event, many used the opportunity to discuss similarities and differences in their working environments and to learn from one another.
The conclusion was clear: Our site managers approach their role with great dedication. They see daily challenges as an integral part of their job – and the training provided them with additional tools to tackle these tasks even more confidently.
