Facade greening on the archive building of the Berlin State Museums
For the new archive building of the Berlin State Museums, we have carried out extensive greening measures – ranging from facade greening to intensively planted raised beds.
A modern, green park has been created on the site of the former car park on the church square in Bremerhaven city centre. This new, multifunctional urban oasis combines a pleasant atmosphere with urban charm, creating an attractive meeting place in the heart of the city centre.
Our services include earthworks and the installation of drainage systems for soil de-sealing and rainwater management. The new design features small granite paving stones, stone slabs, tactile paving, cork safety surfacing and blue-coloured wood chips. We reused some of the existing materials in the process. For the landscaping, new lawns, shrubs and perennials were planted, whilst existing trees were revitalised and supplemented with additional species. To enhance the quality of the space, we created seating alcoves with pergolas, fitted the church steps with wooden seating, and installed play areas with specialised play equipment.
